I believe my students can learn anything they set their minds to. With help in finding what best suits their learning style, that potential is unlimited. I work with my students by immersing myself in the work with them, instead of simply reading material or taking a passive stance in our learning journey. I also ask the students to explain things back to me because that allows me to gauge how well they have learned what we have studied. I have been teaching all different types of students since 2008. I've worked with students who have autism, and I have helped them succeed in their educational and social paths. I also believe in teaching that learning is fun. I want all my students to get something out of our time together. I work with students in Elementary and Middle School Math, Algebra 1-2, Pre-Algebra, Reading, Writing, Essay Editing, Grammar and Mechanics, Phonics, Languages, English, Geography, Public Speaking, Religious Studies, Social Studies, Spanish 1-2, American History, European History, Special Education, and test prep.I double majored at the University of Toledo, where I earned a B.A. in History and a B.A. in Education. I also graduated with an M.A. in Inclusive Education from Ohio State University.In my free time, I love to do yoga and learn about different cultures. I also enjoy feeding my artistic side, specifically with photography, coloring, and painting.
