As a tutor, I structure my sessions towards working with my students to understand their problems with a particular subject. Then together, we work to overcome the missing link. I assist students in many subjects. Biology, Math, and test prep are my specialties. I have previous experience in tutoring, primarily during my time at Boston University, where I worked for a group that assisted underprivileged students in learning Algebra. I have also been employed as a marine biologist, where I have worked with a variety of different people and volunteer groups.I am available to teach students in a variety of subjects, including: Elementary Math, Middle School Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Biology, Life Sciences, Ecology, Science for 3rd grade to 8th grade, Writing, and English. For Test Prep, I work with students in ACT Math, ACT Reading, ACT English, SAT Math, SAT Verbal, SAT Critical Reading, and the GRE.I graduated with high honors from Boston University. There, I earned a B.A. in biology, with concentrations in Ecology and Conservation Biology. I have also returned to school to pursue my master's in Ecology.When I'm not working, I love to hike, do yoga, read, cook, and improve my mind by taking online courses.
